Impact Research NZ was commissioned to conduct research into the elements that contribute to effective client-focused day programmes, within communities, for people living with dementia. As New Zealand's population continues to age, an increasing proportion of our population will require dementia related support and day programmes can contribute to quality of life for those living with dementia and their families.

Dr Annie Weir and Dr Christa Fouche presented at the National Dementia Cooperative Knowledge Exchange Forum (2013) on Effective client-focused day programmes in the community: Improving the quality of life for people living with dementia and their families and will be published in the conference proceedings.
